Bhavalaya is in the process of conducting a Hindustani Vocal Music competition for the local talents in Oman and the preliminary rounds of auditioning will be held this month at  Harmony Music Center, Al Ghubra. The competition is scheduled to be held in two categories – one category of up to 18 years  and another category of above 18 years.  The selected finalists from each category will be auditioned before the professional Hindustani Singers from India and  first, second and first runners-up will be identified from the finalist.  The  winners will be awarded in the function and the  also be given a chance to perform on 25th March 2011, in the ‘Raag Malhaar’ event.  The event will also have presence of eminent Indian personalities in Oman as well as Omani dignitaries.  The event is managed my MEMA Events division of Middle East Media & Advertising LLC. RAAG MALHAAR’ 

Hindustani vocals concert by eminent musicians from India.

 

Bhavalaya is organizing an evening of gazals & melodies, in Hindi,Malayalam & Tamil, scheduled to be held on 25th March 2011 at Le Grand Hall of Al Falaj Hotel, wherein following eminent artistes will be enthralling the Muscat audience.

 

  Pandit Ramesh Narayanji – an eminent and award winning exponent of Hindustani Classical music, who is a maestro vocalist of Hindustani classical, film playback singer of par excellence and music director of various award winning songs and films. He is an exponent of the legendary mewati gharana of music and he also shares the stage with the gems like Pandit Jasraaj and several others. He holds numerous awards and recognitions both nationally and internationally for his contributions in the field of Hindustani music. Pandit Ramesh Narayanji will be the Guest of Honor at the function on 25th March 2011 and will be awarded the “TAAN SAMRAAT” award by BHAVALAYA.

 

Ms. Gayathri – a young, well known and award winning vocalist with in-depth knowledge in Hindustani Classical Music and impeccable rendering of classical and contemporary music.  Ms. Gayathri has been performing Classical concerts and film playback singing in India as well as abroad and has won laurels and awards from Government of Kerala and various organizations.

 

Mr. Prakash Ulleri – a well known and reputed musician with multi-faceted talents in music – is a renowned keyboard player for the last 25 years and film music director of South Indian films.  He also holds a degree in music from the London School of Music and is the permanent keyboard player for the legendary singer Mr. Hariharan.

 

The event will also be accompanied by other artists like Mr. Nishad, Mr. Rison, and

Mr. Roshan who have proved their excellence as accompanists.
